The Toothpaste Answer

At the annual meeting I related the following story: when I last visited my dentist for a regular check up he asked me what toothpaste I used. I told him the brand name. “Was that the gel or the paste?” he asked? “Um, do I get more fillings if I give the wrong answer?” I responded. No, he explained, but the gel was being discontinued. “Seems that the gel can turn into formaldehyde in your mouth, so they’re not going to make it any longer.” I agreed that that probably wasn’t a good thing.
